Ramneek-Singh“Ramneek’s greatest asset is her voice….fresh and sweet. Her range is commendable, spanning almost three octaves” - Bandana Malhotra, The Hindustan Times

Ramneek Singh, introduced to Indian Classical Music at the tender age of six, is an accomplished vocal artist with almost thirty years of strict vocal training.  An impressionable Ramneek absorbed the basics of the Hindustani Sangeet from diverse sources, earned a Visharad (degree) from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, and prides herself in being a purist from the Indore Gharana, a distinctively meditative and serene style of Khayal presentation, as institututed by Ustad Amir Khan.

Ramneek has a unique style of rendering Shabad-Kirtan in the classical style. She equally enjoys performing in semi-classical styles like thumris and horis with ease and excellence.

Ramneek has dedicated herself to propagating the rich heritage of classical arts to the culture conscious masses in India and abroad. She has established Sur-Rang School of Music in Toronto, where she instructs advanced students in the intricacies of Indore Gharana.
