Sabir Khan and cousin, Dilshad Khan will be performing a special Sarangi jugalbandi or duet as a tribute to their Father and Uncle respectively, the great Sarangi maestro -Ustad Sultan Khan.

Counted amongst the leading musicians of the younger generation in India, Dilshad Khan and Sabir Khan were both born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan and the ninth generation to take up the Sarangi in their family. Their musical training began with their grandfather Ustad Gulab Khan and from Dilshad’s father, Ustad Nasir Khan.  They later took further guidance from Ustad Sultan Khan and have made a good name for themselves at a young age. They have shared the stage with many top Tabla players including Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt. Kumar Bose and Pt. Anindo Chatterjee and popular artists such as Ustad Gulam Ali, Talat Aziz and Asha bhosle.  They are featured on soundtracks in many films like Chameli, Jodha Akbar, Dor, Devdas, Mohabbatein, Tere Naam and have played in the major festivals in India and have also played at many top venues around the world like the Royal Albert Hall in London.  

Sabir and Dilshad will be accompanied by their uncle Haneef Khan on Tabla.
